Every Year, Thousands of Children in Thar Die Due To Famine And Thirst.

Our Thar campaign has been doing well…
And we have successfully installed 30 hand pumps.
We will continue to install hand pumps for as long as is possible.
But, today, we are here to share another project with you… which is based on a monthly cycle.
We provide monthly food rations to needy people every month.
We started with only a handful of families…
But, every month, the number of families kept increasing.
We are currently providing monthly rations to XXX families living in slums. With Ramadan around the corner, we aim to jump the number up by at least a hundred.
You can join us by donating $50 a month to support a family of 6-8 for the entire month.
Why does it matter?
Poor slum dwellers in Karachi often sleep without food… And at other times, they depend on tea and roti.
As a result, their immunity is low and they cannot imagine getting their kids educated.
The cycle of poverty is vicious.
It never lets them get free.
Food is a primary necessity…
And nobody should be deprived of something so basic as food.
That is why we want to help them out.

Hunger stops a person from growing…
If we can take off the burden of food, they may be able to focus on other aspects of life.
This may help them:
- Take their children off work;
- Save some for their kids’ education;
- Spend on better healthcare;
- Maintain hygiene;
- And, climb the social ladder.
We can play our part by helping them with monthly groceries.
One Night’s Dinner vs. A Family’s Food For The Entire Month
You can choose to have a luxurious dinner by yourself for $50… Or you could spend that money to provide food to a family for the entire month.
They will get all the necessities for the entire month for the same amount of money that you would spend for ONE luxurious dinner.
Imagine a family of 6 to 8 people sleeping peacefully, on a full belly, every day, because of the little money you donated for them…
The satisfaction is greater than that of a night out.
In Case You Don’t Remember Our Story & Work:
Ek Plate Biryani is the brainchild of a handful of us Canadian residents who wanted to give back to society.

When we set out to donate, we didn’t know who to trust. Most of the organizations did not offer enough proof.
There, we decided to go the extra mile and create a platform where anyone from any part of the world can help the needy…
Hence, Ek Plate Biryani came into being.
Ek Plate Biryani is a registered Not-For-Profit Organization based in Canada and operating in Pakistan, Uganda, India, the Philippines, and Bangladesh.
Our team includes several trained, professional, and honest operation managers and quality control managers, along with several volunteers.
We aim to help people in every possible way. So far, we have the following projects under our belt:
- Ek Plate Biryani distributes ration packages containing full month’s grocery door-to-door in underprivileged areas regularly.
- We provide fresh, ready-to-eat meals for needy individuals. Over the last year, we have distributed food to almost 500,000 people.
- Our team has installed 11 tube wells in Rohingya, Bangladesh, and 30 hand pumps in Thar, Pakistan, to cope with water shortages.
- Covid19 called for emergency measures. So far, we have fed over 90,000 people during this pandemic alone.
- Our team responds quickly in times of crises, such as typhoons in the Philippines and the plane crash in Karachi.
- We have built a shelter house exclusively for women in Pakistan.
- We undertook a few schools in Pakistan to provide them with necessities, such as books, proper desks, uniforms, and access to basic sanitary facilities.
- We have donated dialysis machines to SIUT -- Pakistan’s best urology center.
All this was possible because of your help.
In our setup, every penny is accounted for. We ensure you receive the proof whenever you need them.
To ensure 100% transparency, we take pictures and videos of the projects for proof. They are shared on our website, Facebook, and Instagram, as needed.

Ek Plate Biryani is a registered NGO based in Canada
We started out in 2019 to provide a platform to people from all around the world to help those in distress.
Initially, we began with feeding the vulnerable in Pakistan, but, over the time, we have expanded our domain of work in terms of services as well as area.
We are now operating in 5 countries: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Philippines, and Uganda.
We provide proofs to our donors on our social media as well as privately, if requested.
Our teams are dedicatedly working to provide food, access to clean water, treatment solutions, education support, and aid in emergencies.
